3 Ways To Use Instagram To Win More Clients

Instagram: a lot of people think of it as the place you go to get food, family, and pet pics. But it's actually also the place you go to change your life and your customers' lives for the better...IF you know how to leverage the platform!

But how? This is certainly a complicated question to answer, and here at She Reigns Creative, we understand that it's important to break things down step by step, and give you as thorough a walkthrough as possible. So, starting with Step 1 in SKYROCKETING your Insta...

1) Know your CUSTOMERS

This seems like an easy question to answer at first. If you're a Beachbody Coach, for example, your ideal customer might be a woman in her mid-twenties...or instead maybe in her mid-forties! How do you get an idea of who your typical customer is? A combination of practice and intuition — way more of the former, but a little bit of the latter, too. What WE have people do, in order to determine their brand and what type of customer they want to be attracting is, fill out a comprehensive sheet called a customer avatar - we complete this together with new clients BEFORE doing anything else.


Working on your customer avatar is vital in understanding your target demographic: from their hobbies, to their personality, to their age (relationship status? Kids?)...This is actually the most important game changer in your entire business, because it helps you focus on exactly the type of customer you want to attract. She's already on INSTAGRAM...Now, it's up to you to figure out who she is!


And saying ‘moms’ or ‘anyone into fitness’ is not going to cut it when you’re trying to reach your niche amongst Instagram’s almost 1 billion users.

2) Post STORIES regularly

You may be hearing the term "content strategy" here and there, and not know exactly what it means. Basically, a content strategy is your PLAN to use social media (and any other content) to drive the message of your brand home to new customers! And we think that one of the best, still relatively fresh and new, ways of elevating your strategy is Instagram Stories. Like we already said, you probably think of Instagram, and the stories, as something that doesn't have much to do with work, or with your brand. But that couldn't be more wrong!


Instagram Stories are one of the smartest ways to get your business in front of your audience. There are so many unique ways to use Instagram Stories to not only get new people in your audience, but learn more about them, and understand their needs better. For example, Instagram Stories has a "Poll" feature and a "Question" feature. Your audience likes it because they get to voice their opinion, and YOU like it because you're getting some great customer info! Use it to your advantage and you’ll start delivering content that hits your target audience with exactly what they need.


3) Give your content a THEME

Along the same lines, it's important to tailor your Insta content to a theme, current events, etc. There's that "content strategy" again! For example, March is International Women's Month, so you could ask your audience through an Instagram story or post who the most inspirational woman in their life is. Or, ask them about a time they accomplished something great...What they plan to accomplish in the future...What is stopping them from achieving their goals now...As you can see, relying on a THEME is a great way to come up with ideas for your brand message and your content strategy. And, it's also a great way to get customers interested without being too pushy!


So, once you have a good sense of who exactly your customer is, down to their life story and their personality; once you've mastered all aspects of Instagram content creation; AND you've got a calendar of themes and topics ready to go on Instagram...You will truly be an Instagram Queen!
